Navigate Together: Reflecting on Momentum, Community, and What Comes Next

Navigate reflects on its early momentum in Liverpool, bringing people together through community, collaboration, and shared ambition, while shaping a stronger ecosystem for founders and innovators.

Navigate Together: Reflecting on Momentum, Community, and What Comes Next

Over the past several months, Navigate has grown from an idea into a living, breathing ecosystem. What began as a way to bring people together has evolved into something far more meaningful, a network rooted in kinship, collaboration, and shared ambition across the Liverpool City Region.

At its core, Navigate has always been about people. And that’s where the strongest signals of progress have emerged. We’ve seen individuals come together not just to attend events, but to build relationships. Friendships have formed. Collaborations have started. Conversations have turned into action. There is a genuine sense that something is shifting in how we connect and work with one another locally.

Building a Community That Feels Different

The growth of our core gatherings reflects this momentum. Kinship, AI and Tech for Good has quickly become a cornerstone, drawing in a growing audience with every edition. What started as an intimate meetup is now pushing the limits of its venues, a good problem to have, and a clear indicator that people are seeking spaces where ideas, technology, and purpose intersect.

Alongside this, Made Here has opened a window into the realities of building a business in Liverpool. These sessions have gone beyond surface-level success stories to uncover the full journey, the challenges, the setbacks, and the resilience behind local ventures. They’ve helped ground the community in authenticity, showing what it really takes to create and sustain something meaningful.

Storytellers has taken a different angle, turning the lens toward those who shape narratives themselves. By exploring the people behind the stories, we’ve started to better understand how storytelling influences culture, business, and identity across the region. Our first deep dive, exploring the making of the Married to the Machine podcast, set the tone for more behind-the-scenes access to come.

Creating Space for Collaboration

One of the most tangible shifts has been in how people are choosing to work together. Our co-working days have steadily grown, not just in attendance but in energy. What was once a quarterly touchpoint is now happening bimonthly, reflecting real demand for shared space and shared thinking.

These aren’t passive work sessions. They’re active environments where ideas are tested, partnerships are formed, and support happens in real time. People are showing up not just to work, but to connect.

Community socials continue to play an equally important role. Sometimes, the most valuable outcomes come from informal conversations, a drink, a chat, and a moment to step back from the day-to-day. These gatherings keep the network human and accessible.

At the same time, our roundtables have gone deeper. These smaller, focused discussions are tackling the bigger questions, from funding challenges to structural barriers, and exploring what practical solutions might look like for Liverpool’s ecosystem.

Looking Ahead: Growth, Support, and Scale

As Navigate matures, the focus is sharpening. The question is no longer just about bringing people together, it’s about what we enable together.

We are actively exploring how to:

  • Tell stronger, more visible stories about what’s happening across Liverpool
  • Expand access to funding, across different levels and stages
  • Connect founders with the right forms of support at the right time
  • Support the journey from startup to scale-up, and beyond

A key part of this vision is long-term sustainability. As more founders grow and eventually exit, there is an opportunity to create a cycle, where those who succeed reinvest into the next generation. That’s how ecosystems strengthen over time.

A Shared Direction

Liverpool’s momentum is real. There is a growing confidence, a sense of possibility, and an increasing willingness to do things differently.

Navigate exists to support that movement, not as a single initiative, but as a platform for collective progress. The goal is simple but ambitious, to build stronger support networks, encourage meaningful growth, and ensure that success is shared.

This is not just about individual wins. It’s about shaping a region where people can build, scale, and succeed together.

And we’re only just getting started.
