Awards & Recognition
Recognition isn't why we do the work.
But it's good when somebody notices.
Over the first few years of GoodShip*, our work, programmes and ideas have been recognised across innovation, community impact, creative industries and technology.
We'll take it. Then get back to making things.

That's worth celebrating.
But a trophy doesn't answer the questions that actually matter, which is why recognition sits alongside our impact evidence. Not instead of it.
Celebrate the recognition. Keep measuring the difference.
Where possible, every important recognition connects back to evidence of the work itself.
External recognition, 2026.
The programme that was recognised.
Participants work on something that matters.
Applied learning, teamwork, prototyping.
The evidence that counts.
Recognition tells you somebody noticed. Impact tells you why the work mattered.
AI Activator began as an experiment around a question: what happens if people learn AI by using it to solve something real?
Rather than building another classroom-based AI course, GoodShip* created an experiential programme combining artificial intelligence, research, creativity, problem solving, prototyping, teamwork and communication.
The approach developed through real participant cohorts and measurable feedback. Its recognition through the Creative Innovation Award adds external validation to that journey.
Relationships create infrastructure too.
GoodShip* publishes finalist positions, shortlists, nominations and selections.
Being recognised alongside good organisations can be meaningful even when somebody else takes the trophy home. What matters is being precise about the status.
So this site distinguishes between Winner, Finalist and Shortlisted instead of quietly turning everything into award-winning.
Accuracy is more credible than exaggeration.
General press coverage stays in media coverage rather than being duplicated here.
Formal category-based recognition.
Formal selection by an external panel.
Selection for a credible industry ranking or programme.
Where competitively selected and genuinely relevant.
Only where the feature itself represents meaningful recognition.
Only if formally held.
Where competitive selection provides meaningful external validation.
Recognition changes. GoodShip* may be nominated, shortlisted, announced as a finalist, and later become a winner.
When that happens we update the same record rather than creating a new one, so the site keeps one accurate source of truth and no page keeps describing us as a finalist after a result is announced.
One record. Current status. Verified source.
Recognition may relate to GoodShip*, an Activation, a project or an individual, and the record reflects who received it.
When GoodShip* wins an award for AI Activator, the recipient is GoodShip* and the related Activation is AI Activator. Everyone on the programme team does not automatically become an award recipient, and an individual award does not become an organisational one.
GoodShip* may have contributed to work that later receives recognition.
Where that happens the wording stays clear: a project supported by GoodShip* received something, rather than GoodShip* won it, unless GoodShip* was formally named as the recipient.
Being accurate about attribution strengthens the credibility of everything else on this site.
Credit where it's actually due.
Recognition and media coverage work together without becoming duplicates.
The recognition record is the source of truth for the status. Media records provide supporting external coverage from local media, industry publications and award organisers.
Every recognition record keeps an authoritative external source where one exists: the award organiser, the official shortlist, an organiser press release or a recognised publication.
Where a source disappears later, the record stays but keeps enough internal evidence behind it.
GoodShip* begins.
First external community-impact recognition.
Creative Innovation recognition for AI Activator and additional external selections.
It provides third-party recognition. Impact needs evidence.
We'll tell you which one it was.
Good work is.
The project still needs to work.
They mean more trophies.
The recognition is the headline. The Case Studies are the detail: what changed, for whom, and what the evidence was.
Got an idea, a challenge, a programme, a product, or something you're trying to make better?
That's the interesting bit.
